Planning for my magazine's name

This Preliminary Exercise involved a lot of planning; I started with de-constructing three other school and college magazines which helped me understand the conventions of the magazines. After analysing the covers I began thinking about my own and started with my title.
Students 1
This name portrays that the school puts the pupils first.
SCHOOL’S OUT!
This magazine would come out at half terms, Christmas holidays, Easter etc. The students would be able to read it during their break.
You!
All about the student, direct to them about the highlights and achievements in the school.

This is written in text talk which is associated with teenagers who will be still in compulsory education. Also shows that the magazine is all about them.

After some consideration I have decided to go with ‘SCHOOL’S OUT!’ I like the idea of it only being made for holiday time and half terms for students. Also, the saying ‘school’s out’ is associated with practically every pupil disliking their education and having to wake up early five days a week. So this magazine will include a mixture of achievements, events and highlights of the term inside for students to read and maybe spot themselves getting involved.
